SESSION INTRODUCTION:

Journey Through The Living Word Is Designed To Promote Exposure To The Entire Word Of God. The Word Of God Is The Voice Box That The Spirit Of God Uses To Communicate With The Believer. It Is Through The Living Word Of God That The Believer Grows In All That Is Pure & Holy.

The Following Research Reveals The Real & Shocking Reality In The Christian Community With Regard To Our Commitment To The Word:

"In The United States, Only Between 5% - 7% Of Christians Have Actually Read The Entire Bible."

"Of Over 2 Billion Christians In The World, Less Than 30% Will Ever Read Through The Entire Bible."

"The Fact Is Over 82% Of Christian Americans Only Read Their Bibles On Sundays While In Church."

The First Step To Addressing A Problem Is To Admit You Have One. "Journey Through The Living Word" Is Our Response To The Need In The Body Of Christ To Encourage God's Children To Read His Word.

SESSION BASICS:

This Class Consists Of Twenty Sessions That Last Approximately 2 Hours Depending On The Amount Of Student Interaction. Sessions Are Conducted Every Other Week Utilizing A Zoom Meeting Format.

SESSION RECORDINGS:

Sessions Are Recorded So In The Event That A Live Class Is Missed The Student Can View The Recording To Avoid Missing A Session.

For Additional Questions Or Information Use The "Class Interest" Button Located At The Bottom Of This Webpage Or Use The Response Options On The "Contact" Page.

There Is NO COST For The Journey Class Instruction. The Student Is Responsible For The Purchase Cost Of The Materials Used For The Class.

The "Journey Through The Living Word" Class Does Assume That The Student Understands How To Use The Logos Bible Program & Is Able To Complete Inductive Studies Using Logos.  The Student Is Best Served By Owning The Silver Level Of The Logos Program.  Completion Of Logos Mastery Prior To This Class Will Prepare The Student For These Requirements.

However, If A Person Is Interested In Taking The Class Before Completing Logos Mastery They Are Welcome. Purchase Of The Silver Level Of The Logos Program Is Recommended But The Free Version Can Be Used. It Is Important To Understand That Some Assignments Will Be Difficult To Complete Without The Previous Training Provided In Logos Mastery.

All Sessions Are Conducted In A Zoom Meeting Format.  Using Zoom Overcomes Geographic Barriers, Facilitates Use Of A Power Point Presentation, Allows For Sessions To Be Recorded So That When Someone Misses A Session They Can View The Recording & It Facilitates Personal & Group Interaction.

  • Zoom For Windows Download
  • Zoom For MAC Download

Dr. Bill Walson Is The Primary Instructor For All Sessions.  Additional Qualified Instructors Provide Instruction & Expertise At Various Times Either In Person Or Through Video Options.

Our Office Works Directly With Logos Staff To Negotiate The Best Price Possible For Students In Logos Mastery Therefore We Ask Students To Work Directly With Our Office During The Purchase Process As Opposed To Going Directly To The Logos Website To Make The Purchase.

The Silver Level Of Logos In Either The "Standard" Or "Baptist" Tradition Will Provide The Tools & Resources Required For This Class And May Also Provide Some Of The Resource Requirements For Other IBS Classes.  Students Should Go To The Logos Comparison Page On The Logos Website To View The Resources Provided For The Silver Level Of Logos. The "Silver" Level Provides The Features That Will Be Important To The Core Training Emphasis In Logos Mastery. The Levels Below Silver Do Not Have All The Logos Features.

Once The Logos Software Is Purchased Our Office, Along With The Support Team At Logos, Will Assist Where Necessary With The Process To Download Logos To Your Computer & Various Devices.

Step 1 - Register For The “Free” Logos Program.

  • Select “Create Account”
  • Enter: Name, Email, Create Password

Step 2 - Download The Logos Program To Your Computer

  • Select 3-Dot Menu in Upper Right of Screen
  • Select “Download The Logos App”
  • Logos will download to your computer. Logos can also be used online as Web Version.
  • Download The Logos App To Your Smart Phone & Tablet.

Step 3 - Consult Logos Support If Required

  • Support: 888-862-9537
  • Online Support: Select 3-Dot Menu Then “Logos Training”.

A Faithlife Group Website Is Created For Each IBS Class.  An Invitation Is Sent To Every Student In The Class By Email In Order To Join The Group. Once The Invitation Is Accepted The Person Is Listed On The Website As A Group Member. The Login Information For Entry Into The Site Is The Same Login Information Established For The Free Or A Purchased Version Of The Logos Program.

Students Are Asked To Add A Picture And General Contact Information So Others In The Class Can Identify You. Assignments & Related Materials Are Uploaded To The Website Prior To Each Class Session.  Students Can Then Download This Information Prior To Each Session.

We Recommend Creating A Folder On Your Desktop Labeled With The Class Name Then Create Folders Inside The Main Folder For Each Session Of The Class Labeled Session 1,  Session 2, ETC. Information For Each Class Can Be Downloaded To The Appropriate Folder For That Session Providing An Organized Access Point For All Session Materials.

All Classes, With The Exception Of "New Beginnings", Have An "Achievement Grid" For The Purpose Of Providing A "Finish Line" For Those Who Run The Race For Spiritual Growth. Points Are Given To Various Assignments & Attendance.

There Are Four Levels Of Achievement Including An Audit Level. The Student Picks Their Desired Level Of Engagement With The Class. "The Higher The Level Of  Engagement With The Class The Greater The Level Of Profit" In Regard To Your Spiritual Growth.

A "Certificate Of Achievement" Is Awarded To Each Student At The End Of The Class Based On Completion Of Any Of The Four Achievement Levels As Reported By The Student.

The Objective Of This Class Is Not Just Information For The Head But For An Impact On The Heart.  The Student Is Taught How To Read Through The Bible While Listening For The Personal Message The Spirit Is Speaking To Their Heart.  That Message Then Becomes The Topic Of Conversation With The Lord In The Personal Prayer Time.  The Student Learns That The Word Of God Is "Living" & God's Way Of Having A Personal Conversation With His Children.

At The Present Time The "Journey Through The Living Word" Class & The "Amazing Doctrines Of The Faith" Are Alternated Every Other Year.  This Is Subject To Change Based On Student Demand.

This Class Continues The "On-The-Job" Training Emphasis That Students Learn In "Logos Mastery". The Statement "What You Don't Use You Lose!" Places An Importance On The Need For Application To Reinforce Understanding. In Each Session A "Brief Review" Is Provided On How To Utilize Various Tools In Logos.  The Student Is Also Assigned The Completion Of An Inductive Study Of A Text From The Assigned Subject Matter Which Reinforces Use Of The Features In Logos & The Process To Complete An Inductive Study Of Scripture.

Small Groups Consist Of Four Elements: Worship, Fellowship, Study, & Mission.  Group Emphasis Determines How Much Time Is Spent In Each Element.  Though The Emphasis Of The IBS Classes Is Study, The Remaining Elements Of Prayer, Building Of Relationships, Mutual Support & Mission Are Incorporated Into The Class Experience.
