There Is NO COST For Christian Foundations Instruction. The Student Is Responsible For The Purchase Cost Of The Materials Used For The Class.

There Are No Prerequisites For The Taking The Christian Foundations Class.  It Is Recommended That "New Beginnings" Be Completed For Those In The Following Circumstances:

• Need A "New" Start - Little To No Background With The Christian Faith And Uncertain About How To Become A Christian. 
• Need A "Fresh" Start - Active In A Church In The Past Or Has Some Background In The Faith. Experiencing Some Uncertainty About When Or If A Personal Decision To Receive Christ Was Initiated.  May Also Be Someone Who Is Certain They Made A Decision For Christ At Some Time In The Past But Wants To Recommit Their Lives To The Lord.
• Need A "Deeper" Understanding - Received Christ But Wants To Understand The Gospel And The Underlying Reasons For The Gospel In More Detail.

All Sessions Are Conducted In A Zoom Meeting Format.  Using Zoom Overcomes Geographic Barriers, Facilitates Use Of A Power Point Presentation, Allows For Sessions To Be Recorded So That When Someone Misses A Session They Can View The Recording & It Facilitates Personal & Group Interaction.

A Faithlife Group Website Is Created For Each IBS Class.  An Invitation Is Sent To Every Student In The Class By Email In Order To Join The Group. Once The Invitation Is Accepted The Person Is Listed On The Website As A Group Member. The Login Information For Entry Into The Site Is The Same Login Information Established For The Free Or A Purchased Version Of The Logos Program. 

Students Are Asked To Add A Picture And General Contact Information So Others In The Class Can Identify You. Assignments & Related Materials Are Uploaded To The Website Prior To Each Class Session.  Students Can Then Download This Information Prior To Each Session.  

We Recommend Creating A Folder On Your Desktop Labeled With The Class Name Then Create Folders Inside The Main Folder For Each Session Of The Class Labeled Session 1,  Session 2, ETC. Information For Each Class Can Be Downloaded To The Appropriate Folder For That Session Providing An Organized Access Point For All Session Materials.

All Classes, With The Exception Of "New Beginnings", Have An "Achievement Grid" For The Purpose Of Providing A "Finish Line" For Those Who Run The Race For Spiritual Growth. Points Are Given To Various Assignments & Attendance. 

There Are Four Levels Of Achievement Including An Audit Level. The Student Picks Their Desired Level Of Engagement With The Class. "The Higher The Level Of  Engagement With The Class The Greater The Level Of Profit" In Regard To Your Spiritual Growth.

A "Certificate Of Achievement" Is Awarded To Each Student At The End Of The Class Based On Completion Of Any Of The Four Achievement Levels As Reported By The Student. 

The Objective Of This Class Is Not Just Information For The "Head" But For An Impact On The "Heart".  The Student Is Taught The Foundations Of The Faith While Listening For The Personal Message The Spirit Is Speaking To Their Heart.  That Message Then Becomes The Topic Of Conversation With The Lord In Our Personal Prayer Time. Examples Of The "Ways Of The Lord" Are Incorporated In The Sessions To Create Understanding Of How The Lord Works Currently In The Everyday Lives Of His Children.

Christian Foundations Is Offered Two Times Each Year.  The Fall Session Begins In September Ending In January.  The Winter-Spring Session Begins In February And Ends In June. The Content Is The Same In Both The Fall & Winter/Spring Sessions.

Small Groups Consist Of Four Elements: Worship, Fellowship, Study, & Mission.  Group Emphasis Determines How Much Time Is Spent In Each Element.  Though The Emphasis Of The IBS Classes Is Study, The Remaining Elements Of Prayer, Building Of Relationships, Mutual Support & Mission Are Incorporated Into The Class Experience.
